If youve never strolled the beautiful Carmel Arts and Design District, take time to do so. You wont be disappointed. The Indianapolis Colts named a new head coach tonight. They have selected Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano. It is the first head coaching job for Pagano, whose NFL career has included assistant positions with the Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns prior to his work with the Baltimore Ravens. Pagano replaces Jim Caldwell who was fired last week after the Colts 2-14 season. With so many losses, the Colts secured next seasons number one draft pick. The Ravens ranked third in total defense this year and allowed the third-fewest points in the NFL. We will just have to wait and see how the Colts do next year. What do you think about the choice of Pagano as head coach? After yesterdays championship games, we now know that the New York Giants and New England Patriots are headed to Indianapolis in less than two weeks. My initial response was that at least those two teams and their fans will be used to cold weather and perhaps will be more comfortable in Indianapolis in February. I know many Colts fans are not enthusiastic about the Patriots and of course many feel that in lieu of Peyton playing, at least we get his little brother playing in the Super Bowl. Either way, its going to be good for our city to welcome those two teams and their fans to our city. |
