The latest Internet Ramblings on Indianapolis

If youve never strolled the beautiful Carmel Arts and Design District, take time to do so. You wont be disappointed.

This Monday, February 20, is Presidents Day. If you have the day off work, you might want to consider taking your children to the Indianapolis Childrens Museum. The museum, which is normally closed on Mondays, will open with free admission for everyone in honor of the holiday. If you havent been awhile, now is the chance to catch up.

The most recently-opened exhibit is The Adventures of Mr. Potato Head. Children can explore outer space, the jungle, under the sea and an archaeological dig with the worlds most famous potato! Of course, the museum is always full of exciting hands-on exhibits that are perfect for children of all ages. Parking is always free at the Childrens Museum and while there is an on-site food court, families are allowed to bring in packed lunches and eat in the food court, no purchase necessary. That makes this event completely free, except for the price of gas.

Its Valentines Day and if youre still looking for something fun (although, maybe not romantic) to do with your special someone, the Pacers have a home game tonight. Grab dinner and then head over to Bankers Life Fieldhouse and watch the Pacers play against the Miami Heat.

Now that the Super Bowl has left town, Indianapolis residents can start to think about our other sports teams such as the Indiana Ice, which is currently in-season or the upcoming season for the Indiana Fever.
