If youve never strolled the beautiful Carmel Arts and Design District, take time to do so. You wont be disappointed. Its no secret to those of us who live here all the time, but Indianapolis is a beautiful city - full of kind, good-working and intelligent people. This week, that couldnt be more evident. As visitors pour in this week, I believe Indianapolis will shine as a modern, clean and friendly city. I havent been downtown yet, but the media coverage and the social media buzz is that it exceeds expectations. Downtown is completely transformed - ready for its biggest event ever. If you are visiting this site for the first time as an out-of-town guest, welcome. Be sure to check out the Super Bowl XLVI tab at the top of this page for all the information you need to know about navigating the city and special events this week. The Indianapolis Colts named a new head coach tonight. They have selected Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano. It is the first head coaching job for Pagano, whose NFL career has included assistant positions with the Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns prior to his work with the Baltimore Ravens. Pagano replaces Jim Caldwell who was fired last week after the Colts 2-14 season. With so many losses, the Colts secured next seasons number one draft pick. The Ravens ranked third in total defense this year and allowed the third-fewest points in the NFL. We will just have to wait and see how the Colts do next year. |
